What does an artist do when a crisis like the Covid 19 pandemic forces him to stay in his own four walls for a long time? The quarantine has inspired the Zurich-based photographer to search his old archives.
In 1978 he spent four weeks in New York, but many of the photographs were never used. In 1980 a series of pictures was taken on the island of Crete. René Groebli also took photographs in Holland in 1977 without the result ever being published. In addition, there were photographs of free projects as a reporter for the Black Star picture agency.
Hundreds of negatives have now been sighted and scanned and the artist offers the viewer an insight into this archive in his limited book LATE DISCOVERIES. Photos that are associated with contemplative, romantic, amusing or even erotic feelings.
The strictly limited series is limited to 25 books numbered and signed by the photographer. Exclusively for Sturm & Drang customers we can offer edition 20 and 21 here.

The book comes in a red, rubberized slipcase.
